Harvest Fayre 2011
10th September 2011
Hundreds turn out again for the Crockenhill Village Harvest Fayre.
For the last few years the Crockenhill Scout Group has helped the Village Fayre by organizing the activities and stalls on the village green, whilst the WI run a traditional Produce & Crafts Show in the Village Hall.
This year, for the first time, we had the Swanley District Scouts' climbing wall for the children and more adventurous adults to demonstrate their skills on.
Also on the green was the BBQ & beer tent (manned by our parent helpers and older scouts), live music, a tug of war, a dog show, and many other stalls and activities.
Towards the end of the afternoon, there was a charity auction of all of the produce that was not reclaimed after being judged, and the proceeds went to the All Souls' Church restoration fund.
